Description

Using Sunkit-spex alongside STIXpy, it is now possible, for the first time, to carry out a complete Python based STIX spectroscopic analysis. We present preliminary results of the spectral analysis of a sample of >M5 GOES class flares from the current solar cycle as observed by STIX. We use an automated fitting pipeline to constrain the evolution of key thermal and non-thermal parameters, thereby providing insights into the physics of the flaring process for a large number of STIX flares.
